El mundo, the world

There are endless opportunities to learn about other countries and cultures on the web.  Easy, too, to get lost in the overwhelming task of finding suitable sites. We know you get very busy and don’t often have the time needed to spend looking for cultural sites. Here we’ve found some basics, but it is by no means a finite search.  We recommend you continue searching for information that your children are interested in when you have the time, or if they are older, to have them find the information they crave themselves!  These sites here are meant to be jumping boards.

Many of the sites we’ve listed offer brief glimpses into the countries.   Many others are more in-depth. Our list doesn’t even include an exhaustive list of Spanish speaking countries, such as Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, Columbia, among others.  Some quick and easy sites are Time for Kids and National Geographic Kids.

Pinterest also has great links, but it is easy to get overwhelmed by the wealth of options on Pinterest!
